I’m Gonna Git You Sucka is a parody of the blaxploitation films of the 1970s. Written and directed by and starring Keenen Ivory Wayans, the film features many actors from the genre including Jim Brown, Bernie Casey, Antonio Fargas, and Isaac Hayes.

Notes
While this costume is meant to be exaggerated for comic effect, it does still have elements that remain true to the peacock style of the 1970s. Fashionable men did wear platform shoes, wide-legged bell bottoms, and brightly colored suits. The Fly Guy, played by Antonio Fargas, is an “outdated pimp” who wears his look with pride until he is heckled walking down the street. Carter has commented that working on comedic looks, like this one, are incredibly challenging to get right.
